Delicious salads & homemade pasta, friendly service and lively atmosphere. We’re very glad we made a reservation, as the restaurant is smaller than expected.
The soup was a seafood based cream bisque which was good but flat in taste. The pasta was tagliatelle with a smoked salmon rose sauce and it was acceptable thought the pasta was cooked past el dente. My primary complaint was that they advertised on the menu and on the chalk board, that the Chianti was Chianti Classico when in fact it was a regular Chianti. Doesn’t sound like much but to those who know there is a significant difference in the source of grapes and the methods used to produce the wine. I brought this to the owner’s attention but he debated with me not really seeming to understand the issue. However, the bill was modest, the food quick and hot and not everyone is as picky about wine as I am. As such if you want a quick good pasta or pizza for a reasonable price, this place can work for you.
